Sometimes when I get Picasso out of his enclosure and hold him I see what looks like white powder around his nostrils, is this the calcium from the dusting of crickets or something I need to take up with the vet?....Thanks.

Chameleons get rid of excess salts out of their nose glands. Thats what that white stuff is. Sometimes by over dusting your feeders this will happen aswell.Sometimes when I get Picasso out of his enclosure and hold him I see what looks like white powder around his nostrils, is this the calcium from the dusting of crickets or something I need to take up with the vet?....Thanks.

When you dust your Feeders you do not have to turn them into white insects lol. A little in cup with a swish or shake will do the trick. It shouldn't really change the color of the feeder insect.
Just remember to use regular calcium powder w/no d3 everyday, calcium w/d3 twice a month, and multivitamin twice a month.
