this is a little rescue that was brought to me, I was told it is a veiled, but I dont think the head looks right ? it kinda has the spots of a female Graceful I once had, but not the head ~ it is a male, has the little spurs - sorry for bad pics, he does not feel good, so did not want to mess w/ him to much -
thanks for your help

After looking at these pics he is not a veiled 100% wow he looks like a veiled gracful cross. A member on the forum bred the forum2 and had a couple survive i believe. Could this be one of them? Or did someone else also had success? They would be dteryl and have a high death rate which they were. I hope someone identifies it for you kind of has the look of a oustelets or maybe varacossus??? But the colours are still off so i really hope someone knows lol im curious now.

Hi Everyone,

Please remember the rules of replying to posts in the Chameleon Identification subforum (https://www.chameleonforums.com/identification-read-me-now-89922/). In this forum, you are not allowed to reply if you are not confident in your ID and you are required to justify IDs as well.

The chameleon is not a Chamaeleo calyptratus, but rather a male Chamaeleo africanus. You can tell by the weak dorsal and ventral crests, low, convex casque, speckled pattern and tarsal spur.

Hope that helps,

Chris
