HI all, My 7 week old veiled has an appt with a reptile vet next week, but I need to know now what is that white fluff coming out of both nostrils? He still eats very well and drinks, his color is a beautifull green and he is breathing normally. no popping or crackling sounds. His stools are normal. someone told me that maybe there is too much salt in his diet? I gutload my crickets with (cricket mush from "Thoughts for food" that I bought from this website) Please tell me that it is nothing vital. thanks nydiaz

It can also be from hard water. In example you are using tap water.

SuperRad, The hard water theory also makes alot of sense since the water in my building is hard. and i do use tap water to mist. Can bottled water help? I dont know I am looking at all angles. Hope my vet has answers. thanks nydia

Dear Brad, I just read the info on the website and YES that is it. I thought I was suppose to dust the cricket at every feeding untill 4 months of age. but i guess i was wrong. You do know that the tap water theory also makes sense since that is the type of water that is in my building, I will stop both. Thanks again nydia

A vet trip is not necessary for this ( I assume you've come to that conclusion)
I have never had trouble with using tap water ... but ... I have lived in an old building that had old pipes.
The water was a bit suspect once it actually arrived in my sink. I think something like a Britta filter could benefit you as well as your chameleon.
