What is a regular diet for a 8 month old veiled chameleon?

Hello I was just wandering what the best type of food to give to a8 month old veiled I know variety is the key but what would be a staple diet. I heard that black crickets will attack the chameleon in it's sleep. Also can I feed Indian stick insects. Sorry one more what is the easiest food to breed.

Gutloaded crickets. Take them out at night.

Silkworms are probably the most nutritious but not easy to keep and breed to be honest.

You are right that variety is the key.

Many use well gutloaded crix as a staple. I used well gutloaded locusts and am now trying to move onto silks.

There are so many feeders you can consider:

Dubia roaches, crickets, locusts, hornworms, silkworms, butterworms, calci worms (phoenix worms), wax worms and morios (treats only).

Some feed mantids and other creepy looking creatures LOL!

They aren't very nutritional feeders.

Their skin can be difficult to digest too so I wouldnt breed these as a staple feeder.

Mealworms are very easy (I have far too many ), but as KatCham says they are nutritionally pretty poor.
Crickets are quite easy to breed, as are roaches.
Indian sticks are good food and very easy to breed as well.
If you only have one Cham you would probably be best just buying food instead of breeding though..........
