its time for me to find get a job, ive been searching for quite sometimes, but will most likely have to land something in the factory realms since this economy is struggling but is getting better.

what i would like to know and obtain, are some tips for successfully keeping chameleons while working. im sure alot of you guys have full time jobs, does this in anyway affect you and your captive keeping scheduals? when do the cup feeders here give the food, etc.

My solution was simple, I have my chameleon at work. I spend more time here than at home so was only logical.

I put feeders in the cup in the morning before I go to work, give a good misting, and start a dripper going that drips all day (I don't have an automatic mist system). Depending on heat/dryness/humidity, I may mist after work as well, but at least two hours before the lights go off so things have a chance to dry off. My chams have understood the dripper very well, and will drink directly from it.

I do the same thing and also have a cool mist humidifier running all day in the room with the door closed. Make sure you check your ac/heat thermostat before you leave and set at the ambient temp or a little cooler if you have basking lights.

this will be an investment in the future, i cannot afford a mist system right now. you know whats cool though. mistking is located like 20 minutes away from me

sounds simple enough, that would be my best bet at the moment. im just afraid and know my chams would pig out and eat their whole feeding at 730 am lol

That's okay if they do, then they have all day to bask and digest. You know, going without food for one day is not bad either. It gives their bodies time to digest everything they have and makes them appreciate their food a little more.

i dont feed my chams everyday draetish. i feed everyother day, and when my veiled is over 13months, every 2 days she will get fed. but good point about in the morning, have all day to bask and digest

My guys don't eat all their food at once anyway, even my little Charlotte, that's like a piglet, always eating. She'll save 2-3 dubias for later if I leave them in her bowl.

I think there's always a way to do it, and I think it'll be easier once you know exactly what your job is and what your hours are. My schedule changes dramatically from one semester to the next with classes, and there's always a way to keep them healthy and happy

except when I've got babies. Then I change my work hours to split shift, allowing me to come home mid-day and water/feed (in addition to before and after work)
