What does it mean when a chameleon is basking with there mouth open?

I'm really confused, what does it mean? Thank you- Kraken has never done this before.

Basking temp is probably a little to high, basically it’s the equivalent of a panting dog.

Hot chameleon. Check your basking temps. As bulbs age they may burn hotter or cooler so its a good idea to check the temps every few days.
