My female was festive to my male, she since has been very dark with bright blue spots and gold lines.

My female was festive to my male, she since has been very dark with bright blue spots and gold lines. She laid a clutch in February of 32 eggs that appear to be fertile. But she is still this color. Is she still gravid? Or could she be having a second clutch so soon?

Those are her bright “I’m Gravid Leave me alone “. To the male of course, not you.

Just caught the last. Yes they can have second clutch. As far as staying in color? I am unsure. My female just had her hold over, 4 months to the day. She only ever showed colors when she saw the mail. She also went through normal receptive colors. There was no second breeding.

Is she able to see the male? If so, perhaps she is still signaling for him to stay away. Is best if they can’t see each other.

I use a sheet too make sure my veileds can’t see each other.If you try this make sure too keep it away from lamps or else it’s a fire hazard?
