the wood on your cham cage? I know there are a lot of people on this forum who have built there own wood cages, and I was wondering what you use to protect the wood from rotting? I have polyurethane but wanted to make sure this will be safe once it dries.

Check to make sure its NON-TOXIC

Im not sure about what to use... mine i just used wood, and nothing, it worked alright, but i see what your getting at with rot, mold, etc. ;)

well after searching through other forums, it seems like most people use polyurethane and I was wondering if this has caused any problems for the chams?

You would have to let the poly air-out for a period of time, as it outgasses. Wait until several days or weeks have past since you could last smell the stinking fumes.

I use Zero VOC latex acrylic paint.

My personal test is: would I let a newborn baby (assuming I like babies) sit on it, lick it, crawl on it, etc? if yes, then its probably okay for chameleons.
