a male is generally suggested to beginners because you dont have to worry about eggs and the possibility of them becoming eggbound its your choice completely! you choose what you feel you will be able to deal with best once you have done the research on the species you choose!

Spectrum

Hey guys! I just thought I'd give you an update. I got my chameleon today, and I decided to go with the panther chameleon in the end. He is a 15 week old blue bar ambilobe and for a baby is very friendly. He jumped right onto me when I opened the package. I was not expecting to touch him for a while, but he is very friendly. I named him Spectrum and right now we've been calling him Specky.
I moved the enclosure to my bedroom to get it to the proper temperature and everything is set up properly. I'll get him a larger enclosure and some real plants once he grows a lil more.
BTW, I got him from Jim at the chameleon company (thanks for suggesting that). He was sired by Bonaroo.
