What do you guys think of this lighting combo

I have never used the spiral UVB bulbs, but have heard they are ok now. The heat light all depends on getting th temp you need in your cage. Most of us use the cheap ones from Walmart. The one someone sold you does the same thing, it just costs more.

I use the exact UVB light and haven't had any problems related with it. I use a 40 - 60 watt cheap daylight spectrum incandescent light bulb for heat. I like the combination of the two the effect is nicer than a tube light IMO.

The spot as Laurie said is overkill but would work fine. I would take it back and buy something more essential, you won't run out of things to spend your Chameleon budget on!

Just my opinion, but you can get that basking like $6 for 3 at lowes if you dont want a picture of a lizard on the cover

I would get a 10.0 for a spiral, a 5.0 spiral on a screen, is only going to get 1/3 of the uv to the lizard tops(at least with a linear tube half the light gets to the lizard without a reflector). That might be fine for a non growing adult, but might be low for a fast growing baby.

Thanks guys I was a little worried cause heard some bulbs cause blindness I also got this I don't know what the difference is

With a meter test a brand new bulb was only at 55 (chameleon upper sweet spot is around 65)at 8", after a month the uv drops about 20-25% and then tapers slowly over 6-8 months. Now people with meters change their bulbs when they drop below 15-20. That 10.0 bulb is only going to be putting out 30 at 12" or so, 15" at best. Now imagine that its a 5.0 with half the output...
