I just want to here your thoughts on this. My girlfriend and I are leaving for Cozumel for 6 days, and she was laughung at me when I wrote instructions for the maids in english and spanish. LOL. Is there an easier way. Are their any Chameleon sitters. I have everything on timers, and webcams, but am I being obsessive? LOL

You have a million cham keepers near you. If you want a cham sitter you can get one. Unless you have lots of chams most likely, one of the people local to you could watch them id you drop them off to their home. If some one has to come check at your home daily be prepared to pay them. How soon at you leaving? Make a post on here telling what you have, what you need and when you need them.

You just let everyone know when you would be leaving and where.
Are you the guy that just posted pics of your Parsonii?
There are criminals out there that love getting this information handed to them. Not trying to be a dick but be careful when you post this stuff for your own protection. I would hire a pet sitter to stay there.

I'll make sure to brief the maids well. Thanks for looking out.

I actually live really close to you lol :) and true you don't want to post to much on the Internet. I left for hawaii a few years ago to find out my house had been robbed by a shady friend of mine and also stole my truck. One hell of a friend hahah. The worst part was I also had some idiot house cleaner watch my house. That's all she did tho she literally watch the kid drive away in my truck.

I wonder if there are any kenel that would board a chameleon and have the qualifications to care for it. Kind of a long shot bit personally I would be a little iffy about letting a stranger into my home when I am gone.

Or something like a kenel I guess. I would definitely grill them about their chameleon experience though. I have my list of discrete questions I ask.

When I leave town, I usually have a family member come and stay. All of my cages are automatically regulated with lighting timers and misting systems, so all there really is to do while we're gone is toss crickets/superworms in. I label each cage with the chameleon's name and how many crickets/worms they should be given. I leave my vet's number handy just in case anything happens and I always notify my vet when I'm leaving so that he will know what's up if he receives a call. There have been a few times when I had to leave town and I had a chameleon who was receiving daily medical treatment or who was ill. If that's the case, I usually transport the chameleon to my vet's office and make arrangements for the chameleon to stay there. It's not cheap, but at least I know the chameleon will be cared for properly, as it's too much of a burden and risk to ask a relative to administer medicine or treatment.
My relatives seem to really enjoy staying at our house when we're out of town. They always have lots of stories about their interactions with the chameleons when we get back (nothing I haven't seen a hundred times, but to them, being able to observe a chameleon daily is new and everyone seems to enjoy it).
