What Do Veiled Colours Mean?

Usually as soon as I turn the lights out and when they are sleeping they seem bright green.

Little Baby is brown now and often brown when lights are on. When I came home yesterday I think Baby was having a dream. She was asleep and all puffed up and bright green with black spots all over her. It was pretty amazing. She was asleep for another 15 minutes after I got home with those colors and then when she woke up she was brown again.

Who can decipher all these colors?

all or most chameleons display some of their brightest colors and patterns when they sleep. It is just one of their characteristics

as babies, they are normally brownish in color when basking.
at night they will be the lime green.

the black bars when asleep is normal, my baby male got that all the time, i was convinced he was fighting a male rival in his dreams

My veiled is always his best looking while sleeping, his dark bars show more when he is.

Do the lights need to be on always or not?
