What do little black dots mean on my juvenile veiled chameleon?

I got a 3 month old male veiled chameleon two days ago, and he is doing fine. He’s eating properly, his humidity levels are perfect, and the temperature gradient is good as well. I made a bamboo bridge for cage decor and he loves to sit on it a lot i noticed. However, whenever he does, he develops tiny black designs on his skin, and there’s nothing that would stress him out. Everything i read said it means he’s stressed. But I would walk in the room after i haven’t been there for a while and he would already be spotted like that. He would also already be a little puffed up. Is he trying to absorb more heat, or is there a problem with my husbandry? Please let me know. Here is the picture of him:
