I'm going to order a climbing plant for my female ambilobes enclosure and would like some tips on which do best indoors? I don't have any grow lights and will be in a repti breeze xl. Also do they need cork panels to climb on or would the screen be enough?
Try Pothos (devils ivy) does well in my vivs & i also have a large (six foot tall) one, which i take cuttings from in my living room. Grows really well, even in an unlit room. Available in b&q, homebase etc.
You will have to attach it to the sides of the repti breeze somehow though. Possibly with fine cable ties perhaps? Just have to make sure the ties wont be a hazzard to your cham in any way.
you can also get a 2x2 put on top of the enclosure and hang a pothos from it inside the cage using fishing line to feed through the screen.
Pothos are super hardy and easily grown from cuttings. I also have a young wandering jew which is great for my 4month old might be a bit weak for adult chams but nice way to add some colour.
Than you have the usuals hibiscus, schefflera, ficusm seen someone trying to use jasmine
Thanks for the tips! I actually have a pothos in the cage, never thought to use that lol. I've took a cutting and placed it in a jar of water and feed outside the cage to get it going. Are there any other fast growing ones suitable? I've found a site that does a tonne but not sure which would be best? http://www.dartfrog.co.uk/plants.html
