What are these things?

It's the second time I found one of these in my chameleons cage...are they even safe? What are they?

What are you feeding your chameleon? My guess is a type of worm that grew into adulthood. If so it should be ok. Is your habitat indoors?

I fed him soldier fly larvae, but that was months ago...maybe some of the worms survived and became adults? They look awfully familiar. Yes I feed him super worms but he's not wanting them anymore, and my enclosure is indoors.

Yep....I thought that's what it might be. those little worms love to escape and hide.The good news is the adult is more fun to catch for your Cami.

As already stated, they are Black Soldier Flies, metamorphosed from the escaped larvae.
