So the boys had been on a bit of a hunger strike since we had run out of fat juicy horn and silk worms and all they had to eat were cricx. Well we finally got some worms and both were enjoying them. I noticed a few days ago that Clouseau was not really eating, even the worms. I noticed his lower jaw/lip was gaping open a little and on each side of his mouth were some brown spots. They wiped off but so did some skin from around his lip line and I noticed him sitting there with eyes closed. So off to the vet today and he has mouth rot
on the left side. He is now on the dreaded Baytril! Otherwise his exam was good. He is well hydrated and his body condition is good so I hope this is just a little bump in the road! Any insight on this treatment. I know he should be kept well hydrated and he is actively drinking water but not eating. I hope his appetite picks up as his mouth improves.
