I was determined I was NOT going to become an insect keeper, I would merely buy small packs as & when... but today I collect my first 'half' bulk order of locusts and have set them up in Neelix's old cage, with their own heat bulb and everything... I wonder if I can keep them alive. I'm still adament I will not breed them tho!

also, with perfect timing, Neelix has decided to start only eating 3 feeders in stead of his usual 10 lol

How many is in a half bulk order? What size are they?

Half bulk is 50, but I'm convinced there's more than that in the pack. They are medium-large. I'm going to feed off the larger ones first, because I don't want them to get any bigger. For some reason, there was one adult in the pack & it was 3 times bigger than the others

That's what I get. They come in a white canvasy bag with egg crate in and the usual bran. I put them in a Really Useful box with holes drilled on top. Some weeks there is loads and others there's barley 40. I'm so mean counting them.lol my leopard geckos love them too.so does the dog when one escapes.lol
