Hello! Welcome to the

Hopefully you read through the rules of the forum when you joined. If not, read them here: The Chameleon Forums Rules

Now that you're a member, why not go check out your User CP and change a few things? Maybe your Avatar or your Signature could be adjusted.
Please be sure to look at the settings and limits before posting.

There are several threads/links you should check out before posting, and here they are:
Site Assistance - for when you are having trouble with the site itself.
https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ - for when you need help with your chameleons.
http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleon.blogspot.com/ - A great website for general care of some chameleons.
https://www.chameleonforums.com/index.php?page=resources - The site resources.

There is a Live Chat!

Now that you've gone through that, here are some things you should consider when posting:

Have you used the search feature? The thread you are making very well could have been answered already. Threads that are made over and over again are less likely to be answered.

When was the last post made? Are you bumping an old thread? It's fine to bump an old thread because you have a similar problem, but bumping the thread because you just want to compliment the poster or something similar doesn't help. You can see the date above the Username of the poster.

Is your post readable? Have you used good punctuation and grammar? We know not everyone's first language is English, but when you make posts that are all stuck together and "use chat spk lyk dis", people may not want to read through your post because of that.

Let's move on to how to post. :)

Pay attention to these buttons:
The Reputation Button

and The Report Button

The Reputation Button is to give thanks in a way to people who have made a good post. The Report Button, on the other hand, is to report a bad post that is against the rules to a moderator.

I hope this helps some of you, hope to make more How-To posts like this in the future.

Maybe enhance "your title should be relevant to your post" to "your title should mention the problem and the type of chameleon".

"I need help" and "My chameleon looks sick" are relevant...but not very productive as titles.

I love this idea, if you didn't guess I would.

This is a good "how to start a thread" bit, but there are issues with responding. A surprising number of my many posts are explaining to new people that they can't use a gallery yet but they can attach an image. However that has to be done via the POST REPLY button not the "Quick Reply Window".

I actually did a "how to" instruction for another PHPBB board a few years ago. Most of it is still valid. I'll see if I can find it and send it to you.

I and always looking to learn more about how to do stuff on the forum. I would love a copy of the "how to" if you find it.

I like what Sabrina is working on. I think a lot of people will benefit from it.

I have to be honest, it included the idea that no one knows what to do with that "insert code" icon. There are just some things that will remain a mystery.

With your first statement, I disagree. Not every post has to do with a problem or a chameleon.

As for your second statement, thank you, and like was mentioned it would be best if they tinkered around with it in the test forum.

Syn, when u gunna become a mod...??? :)

Good work sabrina!

you were talking about editing and stuff in the chat... Maybe make this a blog and then put a link to it in a thread like this and your signature.

Thanks Kevin.

I would really like to do that eventually. I think for now this will work and I will eventually implement this into a blog once I get a better idea of what new members need to know.

I can't seem to find my "how to". It was a couple of years ago anyway, so maybe wouldn't have been that helpful.

Maybe: "Make your title descriptive. Ex: Cool Cham Sculpture or Bump on my Rudis leg".
