Midnight snack. Before I even scrolled down to see the other posts this is the exact, first thing that came to my mind lol. And that does sound rather odd about him eating at night. I've never heard of a cham eating after dark...Has anyone else?

You have the tv lights flashing at their cages after their lights have gone off every night?

yes, but i have never seen it wake either my panther or veiled, they it does bother a few others in the same room so they get covered with a blanket, looks like i might have to start covering gizmo too:rolleyes:

Oh my goshh, my cham is sooooo sensitive to anything. If i put something on the table when he sleeps, he wakes up. Sometimes even noise wakes him up from the vibrations

It's funny you should mention that because I saw a documentary on Madagascar where they just happened to film chameleons feeding at night. They would do just what you described (eat and then settle back to sleep).

hmm very interesting, i know he is not normally bothered by lights or anything so who knows what triggered him to wake.

Yep in that documentary that were looking for chams at night and when they shown a light on the cham it saw a bug and snatched. They made a pretty big deal about it. Pretty cool you caught Gizmo doing that.

ok, is that part of the life series, i think i have it on bluray and have been meaning to watch it again

Sorry Hoj that wasn't the movie....it was a doc about Sir David Attenborough revisiting the island to look for the pigmy chams....still looking

Maybe the cricket was chirping or scratching or something? and he knew it was gonna keep him up all night so let's take care of that annnd...slurp! ;)
