weight?

Hi again! What weight approx is 'normal' for an 8-9 week baby male Yemen? I am having feeding issues as you prob have read (help form filled out). I have just cleaned cage and drip system and safe water catcher now in place with plants placed easily for him to reach it. Pheonix worms put in but none gone (surprise surprise).

Anyway, getting to the point, I have just weighed him and he is approx 4 to 5 grams. Is this about right or a bit light? He is looking a tad thin and don't want to stress him anymore. He is now all clean and can be left alone to hunt (not that he does!).

I am not always peering in at him - I can see him from my dent in the sofa lol!

Doesn't anybody weigh if they worried? Still no food taken and am really concerned.

I dont think most of us weigh babies that young.

Ive had my male since he was 2 weeks old, and I didnt weigh him till he was over 6 months old.

yes there are people who probably weigh but probably have not seen the thread yet! I wish I could help but do not have a veild. I really never weighed my panther when he was young for that matter! I have to find the other thread but I am guessing you just got your chameleon???

Thank you - i don't mean to sound neurotic but had him 6 days and no food taken and not too sure on water. He was gaping earlier and is so small at 8 weeks. I can't eat for him but do t know what else to do. I'm so frustrated

you cant force him to eat right now.

let him be.

give him his food, and leave the room. same with water.

mist him, and leave.

ive owned my veileds for over a year and almost never seen them drink.

no I don't blame you, he should be eating in 6 days especially being a baby. If he was an adult I would not be concerned. has he pooped or peed yet?

Thanks again - No poop yet. I have basically left him alone apart from general care, misting etc. I can see him from the other side of the lounge so dont need to keep peering at him. Its just frustrating as I cant eat for him and 6 days is a long time.
