Weighing Panther

So I bought a small digital gram scale so I can keep up with Ego's weight. Any good tips on how to weigh him? He's very friendly and easily handled but the scale I bought is 3" x 5". So barely larger than Ego. I first tried to get him to walk off my hand and into scale but he didn't stay long enough for reading. I haven't tried again due to time and I'm sure if I keep trying this would work but wanted to see how others achieved weighing. Thanks

I have had luck using a ziploc hard container (without the lid of course ) and I weigh that, then put the cham in the container and weigh them both, then subtract the weight of the container.

Mine never stay on the scale top long enough either! So the container edges give them something to hold on to

Great idea! I tried this (see pic) with lid still on and got 20.3 grams twice. How often do you weigh? Ego is about 4.5 months old now.

I weigh my sub-adult & adults once a month just to see where they are. My baby I do once every two weeks to keep track of his growth.

Ego is quite handsome!

Hi, so after substracting the container how heavy is he? And he's 4.5 mo old right? How often does he shed? Thanks
