Ranger has grown. Same time last week was the first time I ever weighed him. He is 4 months old (male panther cham). Last week he was 20.4 grams. Today he weighed 30.7 grams. Thats 10.3 grams in one week!:) Is this good? Are we on the right track?

Thanks for your help:)

There was a guy on here yesterday whose 5 month old panther weighed in at 60-70 grams( or so he says) and the thing did look huge!!! I questioned if he was sure that it was 5 months old and he assured me it was because he had it since 3 months old. I never weighed my cham until last week and at 10months he weighs about 150 grams. I don't really know if there is a set weight per say that every chameleon has to follow. I think as long as yours is healthy and is gaining weight, that is the main thing. 10g in a week sounds pretty good! I think they all grow at their own pace and some are slower than others and some are just going to be bigger than others when they are full grown. If he is eating, drinking, and growing, then I wouldnt worry. I am sure there are tons of people who are going to chime in on here with their weights so you can compare.

Thanks for the help. He seems to be the picture of health. He drinks from my spray bottle (spoiled), eats 12 to 17 small to medium size crickets a day, 1 silkworm, and poops 2 times a day. Also, Ive just had him for a month and he has shed 3 times with no problems. So with my newbie information:p, I would think he is healthy. Hopefully anyway.

wow that is alot sheds! Mine would shed like every 3 weeks. Sounds about right with what he is eating at that age. I would'nt put too much into the weight issue as long he is active, eating, drinking and growing. He will do it at his own pace!!!

i can't really say... here is my experience....
i have one of Jannb's (Luie/Camille) babies... and at 4 months Stanley weighed 76 grams... today at 5 and 1/2ish months he weighs 98 grams...
he is my first so i have no reference... but all seem to say that Jann's are big "babies".... :)

yours sound quite healthy to me... as said, they all grow at their own rate.. as long as he is eating, drinking and pooping.. you're good!! ;)

I just weighed my Nosy Be and at 4 months and one week old he weighs 64.7 grams. My Ambilobe that is 7 months old weighs 102.3 grams so it all depends I guess but it sounds like he is a fast grower.

Well I think and hope he is healthy. But all of yall's sound so much bigger than he is. Thats why Im alittle worried. But every thing is fine, "health wise". I just wonder am I feeding enough? I dont want him to be hungry.

You are definitely feeding him enough. I know someone on here who's panther weighed less than yours at the same age and he is a great weight now and healthy as can be! So relax!!!!!

Thanks guys. I will keep yall posted on his weight and pictures. :) Lets just hope he's not a she. LOL.:)

ah ha, never thought of that one! What color is he/she?. You can sometimes tell by their coloration but not quite sure if it is written in stone at 4 months. Post a pic.

First picture doesnt show all the colors Ive seen him show.
Second picture is him relaxed in his cage.

What do you think boy, or girl?

I wanna say male. Their tales are usually a little thicker by their vent. Not an expert at sexing the genders here. Hopefully someone will chime in. you might wanna post a thread asking to sex you chameleon. You will get more of a response for sure!!!

Ok. Thank you. I will try that and use side pictures.

I guess we will find out. Then everything will make more since.
