For male Jackson's I keep the basking spot in the 82-83˚F range (85 max). Usually they like more heat but it dehydrates them if they spend too much time there.
I understand worrying about them I do it constantly. One orangey urate doesn't mean that much. You really only need to intervene if it is a regular occurrence. A tinge of yellow at one end is very normal.
