watery feces...need some help...

my female jackson chameleons feces came out watery what should i doo or what it could it be from...???

well the first day i got her i fed her 2 horned worms...crickets and one or two super worm like every other day...well ive had her since sunday,,,

If the watery feces continues, you might consider having a fecal study done. True diarrhea in reptiles can be a sign of internal parasites.

I was thinking parasites too but maybe don't jump to conclusions just yet. Did you get her from a breeder, or pet store?. If a breeder, I wouldl call them and ask if a fecal was done before it was sold or shipped to you.

i got her from lllreptiles at the last reptile show in pasadena ...i think she didn't digest the worms she ate rite ...i think they were to big for her to digest...cuz i saw the droppings when i got home and i could still see the super worms kind of bitten up in her feses ...could that be the problem?oh yah there was also some watery feses next to it..........

Has she had solid poop before? I imagine she is WC and will have parasites. Parasites are easy to test for and depending on the parasites, easy to treat. Just take a poop sample to a vet, they might need to see the chameleon before giving you meds. At the very least they can tell you what they found.

well ive just had her since sunday and today or well yesterday cuz its 12:00am ....was the first time she pooped since ive had her...i hope next time she goes its solid...if not im going to take her to the veterinarian ...does any one know how much a fecal would be along with meds????????

Unless you've already seen a vet for your chameleon, they probably won't do a fecal without seeing your cham, just like a dog or cat, but you can just call around and see. The fecal will be cheap, it is the exam and the meds that will cost more.

A fecal up here ran $40. It came up positive for parasites so I had to bring him in for an exam. The exam and a pair of Rx meds ran another $60 as I recall. After you are done with the meds, the vet will likely want to do another fecal.

i hope it comes out solid next time...but i think im going to have to take he r for a fecal on monday...yah the vet told me that it was gonna be 18.50 for the fecal...but the meds were gonna be expensive...about 50 to 60...
