hey, i have purchased a waterfall do you think this will be enough to humidify my screen/mesh cage for my cham? or should i purchase a big dripper? and also i have been told a normal house hold bulb is fine for lighting but then i have heard it heats up the whole cage and there is no where for the thermoregulation to take place. for the basking spot should i just purchase the basking bulb from the store or a house hold one will be fine? one last thing, i would like to know everyones view on mercury vapour lights, i have heard both bad and good things. any help would be greatly appreiciated.

thank you.

its been said a million times on here, waterfall = bad. They are just a breeding ground for bacteria, chams generally wont drink from them and if they do its just all the more chance they will get sick, go with a dipper and some live plants for humidity.
A household bulb is generally fine for basking, just use a thermometer to make sure the basking spot is the right temp. In a screen cage with ventilation it will have plenty of range, not gunna heat the whole thing up, it may in like a closed up glass terrarium .. sounds like a sales pitch to me..

Yeah, don't use a waterfall they serve no purpose in a chameleon enclosure.

I use a dripper, humidifier (dry here in AZ) and I spray his cage with a water bottle every few hours.

take the 40 you were going to spend on the water fall and grab a mistking you will love it and so will your chams

I had a waterfall in my chameleons cage and he was always drinking out of it, but you have to clean it constantly and not to mention i just had my poor little guy take a fall into his (allll bad!!) im getting a dripper instead so id suggest save the time effort n everything else n do the same :)
