i'm not sure if my baby chameleon recognizes the dripper i have
is there a certain way i should set it up?
i don't want him to get dehydrated

idealy it should drip onto leaves and vines, and then drip off those leaves and vines, onto more ect. The driping should be highly visible, and the more it drips onto other things the better ;D

Often you won't see them drink.....they will lick off leaves when no one is looking. If his poop has a white urate section then he's not dehydrated. You only need to be concerned if it goes yellowy (or worse, orange)

Oh, and you may not actually see him drink, he might be skiddish about doing it in front of you. You can keep an eye on his poop, if its a larger brown bit, with a white bit then he's hydrated. If the white bit has yellow/orange traces in it, he's dehydrated...

Make sure you are giving him access to water in the form of dripping and or spraying. If his urates look good and white then i wouldn't worry because you are not personally seeing him drinking water. It just means he doesn't want to drink in front of you as stated above.
