Water? ON THE MOON?

its so funny they have been searching for any form of water on any planet, moon, ect. millions and millions of lightyears out and little did they know it was only a few light minutes away

Did you guys ever think if we have to evacuate earth and go to like mars or the moon or whatever, we probably wont be able to keep chams!

Yes, in trace amounts, no enough to sustain a lot of life. This article has been there since 9/23. ;)

Yes, in trace amounts, not enough to sustain a lot of life.

Not enough to sustain human life perhaps, we're a wasteful species. Even what we have in abundance will one day no longer sustain us here, we're breeding ourselves to death.
(and taking every other species on the planet down with us!).

looking for the opportunity to colonise elsewhere is all good and well, but until we face some hard truths about ourselves and realise we must limit our numbers, we will continue
to endanger our existance on this world.
Colonising space is great sci-fi material, but thats all. :(

There is only one!

AstroPhysic Eh! Wow, you must be one of those people with brain on steroids. Took some Astrology classes back at CSU -- years ago -- but ultimately ended up in ion channel physiology as a tech. Do still have a compound at home but it is only 4" diameter. Way cool stuff.:D

You mean astronomy. I remember when people who say astrology instead of astronomy when that was what I was doing.

What school are you attending baggedd5087, and what year and classes are you taking now.

Im only a freshman at mesa state college im taking intro into physics this semester after i finish my associate in applied science for welding im gonna transfer to csu

Thats good. I hope you really like math. I went to Ohio State for astrophysics, but I couldn't handle the math load. The physics wasn't that bad, but when I looked at my classes I needed 5 math classes beyond calculus, and 12 physics classes, not to mention the astronomy classes. I would of liked the astronomy classes the most, but the physics and math killed it for me. I didnt like working out 20 problems for 4 hours a day per class. I was one of 48 astronomy / astrophysics majors out of the 58,000 students that went there. Not a high demand field. I also lost interest in it because of chameleons. I rediscovered my love for reptiles once I adopted my cham, and now im going for zoology, and I like it so much better. When I was 9 I used to say I wanted to be a herpetologist, and now I might get the chance to work with reptiles later on. So im happy. What aspects of astrophysics are you getting into? Are you going to be more observational, or say mechanical and build the devices?

Ill be more observational i have been into physics for about 6 years (ever since i was 13) and im not that good at math im taking an 030 class which is pretty much elementry math im just taking the basics now so everything is still fresh, which is also good for my welding degree

Yea I started off the same. I started off with pre-algebra 095, and went up threw 8 math classes to calc2 152, but then I would have to go up to 455 or something with differential equations, and I did not like that one bit.
Just so you know, all the calc sequences, and calc based physics was suggested as the starter classes for incoming freshman. When I transferred in I was transferring in with junior lvl credit but taking freshman lvl classes. Another buzz kill. Try to map out what you need, with pre requirements, and try to stay on that schedule. It will help you at lot in the long run, and you wont need to waste a semester / quarter, because you cant take a class that is only offered in the spring because you dont meet the pre reqs.
