So, to those of you who, have never heard of Vans Warped Tour 2012, it's the best thing ever. :3 I haven't been there, but I love the bands, and I've had friends tell me about it. I am listening to the compilation album from the tour and it's about 150 times better than the compilation album from last year. Have any of you ever been to this tour? I'm planning on buying tickets for the 2013 tour. Gahhh, my ears are so happy right now. c:

Yeah :D that is a awesome show I been going sence 2002 . The first few years were the best when bands like nofx, lagewagon, bad religion,anti-flag and the casualties were all playing and it was super long play times on stage. The past few years have been good as well but the pop punk has kind of made this tour soft. But still cool.

Yeah I totes agree about the pop punk crap. That last compilation was full of it. I was really disappointed in it. This album sounds way better. I can't even listen to the 2011 one anymore since I get irritated with it. I really hate how it went pop/rap on it. Worst thing. Ever. My only exception to that album is the fact they have Sleeping with Sirens.

Lol . Yeah 2011 live wasn't that great either. But I would say the best was 2003 and the worst was 2005 when it was all about New found glory. They were a cool band but then went pop:(.

What do you call most of those bands you listed? Id call them pop punk but of course when I talk about pop punk I always have to mention that Greenday, Good Charllote and Blink 182 are not real pop punk. They are just pop LOLOLOL!!!

I would go in the late 90s and early 2000s when it was cool bands like you listed. Im a huge fan of all of those bands. I havent heard any bands on this years line up besides AF and even those guys have went way too poppy. The last few years I looked at line ups it was all of that metal core crap but seems Mayhem has taken those bands.

Would love to see it go back to the old days!!!

I wish I wasn't 9 or 10 then or I would have went! It seems a lot of the bands are going towards pop. I remember when I first listened to All Time Low.. I can't even listen to their music now. It's all the same.

In 03 bad religion , anti flag and the suicide machines all got on stage live and played a killler 20 min. Version of American Jesus by bad religion. And all I could say was wow that was the best performance I have ever seen and i still remember it like yesterday.

Aww. :( I fill old now ......

LOL!!!! Right?

That is awesome about BR, AF, and SM. BR is one of my favs. Ive seen them 9 times. Best was in DC. First band had to cancel. Strike Anywhere played their set and then BR played twice as long as they were supposed to because of the first band. After they played their set they would ask what song people wanted to hear and just played requests for the last 45 minutes. They played for at least and hour and a half. That is one hell of a show for a punk band!

Sweet!! Guttermouth is playing a small venue about an hour away from me tomorrow in Morgantown, WV. Not sure if I can make it yet though:( Propagandhi is playing Baltimore next month. That is the one I want to see real bad. aw Voodoo Glow Skulls for the first time earlier this year. That was an awesome show. Like 70 people there. I love the small shows where you can just walk up to the bands and strike up a convo:cool:

Never really been to big on Drop Kick or Flogging Molly. Good bands just not my cup of tea. DK is awesome though! Im into a lot of the Fat Wreck, Nitro, Hopeless and Epitaph bands. Mostly a lot of the 90s stuff. There have been few really good punk albums put out recently. Propagandhi is one band that has gotten better over the years so Im excited to hear their new one. Love some old school AFI (first two albums) Jugheads Revenge, old Offspring, Pennywise, BR, NOFX, I think you get the idea:D Nice to see another Punk Rocker on the forums!

BR. God I remember them in the 80's I loved the Hard Core music back then. Some of it is still around but its not like the old days.

Yeah its a bummer but there are still some coming out there just not known or backed up by the big record companies so you really got to look for them.... But when you find a New old school hard core band it is awesome. I buy like 10 of there CDs just to suport them :)

I remember them making recording out of their garages. we would get them on demo cassettes and 7 " vinyls. some bands only made one album. I am glad some of the old school stuff made it to CD so much never did.
