:( Wish I didn't learn it the hard way. When you buy your plants to put in your enclosure everyone tells you to re-pot in organic soil and wash plant good. Well I'm going to add. Feel all over pot and hanger for left over sticky from labels and price tags. I was watching Zeke this morning after I added feeders and he was on the pot hanger. He would bob and move a little but mostly was staying in the same spot. I thought he was afraid of me so I backed up set down and kept watching. He tried to climb on a leaf and wouldn't let og of the hanger. then he turn and started to move up the hanger and I noticed he was pulling hard, then that his foot was stick to the hanger without him holding at all. He pulled his foot off but couldn't get his tail. That's when I finally realized what was wrong. Gently rubbed his tail off and he hauled butt. LOL poor baby. Cleaned off hanger with alcohol swabs to remove sticky. I'm just so glad I noticed something going on.
Sorry for long story but, hope to save other baby chams from being stuck.:(

I also had a similar experience with a cheap plastic hook I had attached to the wall of Isis' enclosure to 'shore' up the vines. It fell off the wall and stuck to her tail. I don't know how long she was moving around with it stuck to her, but she looked very relieved when I removed it. Damn hooks won't stick to the wall but will stick to my moist & flexible chameleon. Go figure.

Glad yours was ok also. Looking close at stuff. I took out the 2 cheap stick on gauges I had cause they kept falling off and the backs are sticky. Don't want to Have any more scares.

sounds like a sticky situation ;)
LOL:rolleyes:

ahhhh hah! *point* funny gal :D :D

glad you're little guy is okay :)
Thanks, me too.

My first reptile was a bluebelly (western fence) lizard and I duck taped a hole crickets were escaping from on my cage. He somehow climbed across the top screen of that cage and stuck his complete body to the tape.

I completely forgot I taped the cage and couldnt find him for 3 DAYS!!! then realized what was wrong! I freaked out, peeled off the tape slowly, and started googleing what the eff to do.

Finally read to massage slowly with cooking oil but all i had was margerine. It worked great! took about 30 mins to get him unstuck but my heart was racing soo much.

You just reminded me of this so i thought i would share :D A mistake I will never make again!

Thanks for the heads up but I try to avoid any plants with sap just incase a leaf gets torn then sap get all over the place and that happens.
