Warmth at night??

So my Senegal, Olive, started growing a bump on her head, and while searching around on here, I figured it's an abscess. A very pricey vet visit later... I was right. He drained it, and now I am to give her antibiotic injections.

Here's my question... He said that while sick/healing, chams need warmer temps. I don't use anything at night because the room she's in is about 70* and she sleeps low in the cage suggesting to me she likes the cool... What do you guys use at night? I just went and bought another dome and a blacklight heat bulb... Any other suggestions??

Ceramic heaters work well from what i've heard, Plus they do not produce any light as to not disturb your chameleon's sleep cycle. As with most animals, i'm assuming a good nights rest helps with the healing process.

Only a creamic heater should be used.
The red/black bulbs can still keep some chameleons up at nite.
Im not sure about heating the animal at nite though.
If I did I wouldnt go over 75ish.

I recently stopped using my heat lamp because i learned about that, the room temp at night for my veil is between 60 and 70, he's fine and happy as a Clameleon. :D

I let my temp go into the lower 50F's as much as possible.
(since its winter)
A 10F temp drop at nite is good for them.
It stimulates their appetites and such.

Thanks guys! I did think it was okay to have her temp drop... Especially for a Senegal because I know they like cooler temps, but he said until she gets better keep her warmer.

Also she is mighty pissy since we got home, puffing up and hissing... She hasn't done that since I got her a year ago!! Hope she doesn't hate me for too long!
