Okay, so last night I had to open my bedroom window to air out my room because my mom told me too. I had accidently left it open all night and when I came up to my room just about 10 minutes ago It was freezing. I would say my room got to be atleast 30 degrees F. He is warming up now, but I don't what to do. I am almost sure he has a chill. He is dark colored right now. Someone please help.

Wow. Just keep him warm. I know when Leo arrived, we were in 4 degree weather in an ice storn and he was so cold and hard, I was sure he didnt make it..But I held him and gave him body warmth as well as under a low heat lamp and within 20 min he was moving around and has been great ever since..

Hope he pulls through. I know some people keep theirs outdoors and have claimed to seen icicles the next day..I dont recommend that or know if its 100% accurate.. Just trying to make ya feel better.:)

Let him warm up slowly. No idea what kind of chameleon he is but provided he can warm up slowly and you don't make this a habit, ;) he should be okay.

Well, I placed him under his heat lamp about 10 minutes ago. I wouldn't be sure if that is too fast or not. He is a panther chameleon, he is about 10 months. Ty for the responses so fast.

ty for the advice. He is moving around and is bright and active. I just watered him.XD Before I read the last post. He started drinking right away. This is a good sign I would think. Hey Jann!:D

I would keep him a distance from the light at first. I would not wet him for a little while. Jann

Why is that? Is it too soon for the warmth? I had him under a 25watt and in my hands for warmth/body heat. Curious.

Maybe it's comparible to when your hands are freezing, and you run hot water over them to try warming them... "ouch!" It's always better to warm your hands gradually if they're that cold.

I would assume that after "tramatic" temperatures like that, immediately having the opposite extreme on the spectrum would be more harmful to the animal. That wouldn't happen in the wild.

Yeah because if it hurts us to have a quick temp change on our hands (mind you we are warm blooded) imagin that on a cold blooded animal..ALL OVER!

Hmm. I always use cold water as it feels hot.. But makes sense...

How is he doing Fool?

It's been about maybe a week. He is doing fine. The temperatures didn't really seem to do anything to him. I later found out that it wasn't all night. It started getting extremely cold during the beginning of the day oddly enough. Thanks for all the concerns guys.:D
