Vitamin A...retinol...

At the moment I don't have any at my house. The last ones were veileds from a study. When I went for double knee replacement a while ago I had to let a friend take my last few reptiles because I ended up in a wheel chair and couldn't do the stairs in my house due to recovery complications (long story). I'm hoping to be out of the wheelchair in the next few weeks. I would still like to work with chameleons but would also like to work with the 3 species of helmeted iguanas/forest chameleons and the 3 (I think) species of cone heads and leaf tailed geckos. We'll see what happens!
I apologize for the wheelchair part since I had absolutely no clue what u have been thru and I sincerely knowing u are a strong and smart mind individual and the recovery should be optimal in ur condition, please forgive what I mentioned....sometimes I do speak very free spiritually without guessing future ahead, and this is just being me 98%of the time , so in my plain english "so sorry "

Thanks for the link. Good information.
Just to clear this up for me Beta carotene is prOformed Vit A and Retinol is prEformed Vit A?

Alphakenc...I did not take offence to what you said! No reason to apologize!

Jacksjill...prOformed is beta carotene...prEformed is retinol.

Kinyonga....thanks for undestanding.
Glucosamine is what I like to share with u n Im sure u already know the benfit.
Regarding the ginger n garlic on the cham's gutloaded mix ,do u believe those are 2 powerful herbs that has lots benefit for keeping the chameleon's health with only less than a pinch on the mix.

I knew a man who used garlic to get rid of some parasites in newly imported lizards.
Ginger is good for a lot of things.

Great,I have been using them for a while now, personally I believe the nutrition is a major key for the success to keep the chameleon healthy,I like to use herb for maintaining n prevention rather than the meds to help afterwards unless its necessary.

I guess everything in Africa has their own mystery ....
Ataxia is some serious clinical manifestation with the nervous system,I wouldnt want to sit in the wheel chair all day
The african species that you name is not an actual ancestor of the commercial bombyx mori. What Bombyx Mori originated from were Bombyx Mandarina. They eat mulberry as well.

I didnt say the anaphe venata is the ancestor of the Bombyx mori , I was just wondering about the diet difference due to the less amino acid content in that link.
