Visual Barriers

To the folks keeping multiple males or species in close cage proximity, what are you using as visual barriers? I've got several male panthers and a female carpet and would like to re organize the cages close to one another for my mist king. I want to use something easily removable that doesn't stifle air flow. Was thinking of tinted plexi glass.

I would buy some sheets of white plastic or whatever looks best (PVC) color, then cut it to the size of the cage and screw it into the cage side. It won't really affect airflow, as you have 4 sides left that have air flow still.

Just make sure they don't see each other.

I had a roll of whisper walk underlayment for floating floors that was a thin foam and plastic the works great. Its translucent and super light and water proof. I use this on the backs and between my cages attached with packing tape with a couple inches open on the very bottom for airflow. It lets light in from the sides and back. I thnk you can get a roll at lowes or HD pretty cheap.

If you want it to look a little nicer, you can use some outdoor cloth from a fabric store. It is water and UV resistant.

When my veiled was giving my panther the stink eye (from clear across the room - honestly, I didn't realize that even with 10' between cages there would be an issue) I used strategically placed white paper. I didn't need to cover the entire side of the cage, just the resting areas most commonly chosen where he would intimidate my panther. Minimal in appearance.

Try coroplast sheets cut to fit. Probably less expensive than tinted plexi. But, both of these will cut air flow. Garden shade fabric would allow some flow, can get wet, and is easy to cut and attach.
