Well, Neelix, my veiled, dislikes me and hates my boyfriend. Today he spent an hour hiding from the ironing board, which was placed a couple of feet from his cage lol. If my boyfried dares to look in the cage, Neelix hides behide a branch. He's extremely grumpy at the moment too, I suspect he's got a shed coming on.

We have guests staying for 3 days & I hope he doesn't get too stressed about it. It would be really nice to get him out so they can see his beautiful colours & his friendly side, but it looks like I may be covering his cage to give him privacy. Poor little thing...everything revolves around my cham being happy

Also dreading the moment they find an escaped cricket or locust! We've found 2 today. As long as they don't show up in the guest bedroom i guess it'll be ok!

I have a friend and her two children staying for a week at the moment... I feel your pain! A couple of crickets have escaped, little sods, but I'm hoping they vanish magically. As for my poor Ivy, I'm horrible, so I'm hoping that a week of normal noisy children will make her appreciate my quiet ones much more! She does have an enormous 2x2x4 enclosure, and she's only 3 inches long, so she's not having any trouble being completely invisible to everyone... And every time I spot her somewhere prominent, she has a cricket's butt poking out of her mouth, so I'm guessing it hasn't put her off her food particularly...

My veiled was terrified of a nerf gun all the way across the room. I couldn't figure out why he was hiding so much and was starting to get worried about him! Then the nerf gun disappeared and he was back to normal! Apparently orange plastic things are very frightening. ;)

lol it's so hard to work out what's bothering them sometimes. Funny little things.

I probably should see how he gets on with my guests first, but I don't have much faith. We'll be out most of the time tho.

I'm also worried because I will be teased relentlessly for doting on my animals... I know exactly how they'll react to me sitting with a hedgehog sleeping on my lap in the evening! Or when I talk to Neelix in the morning...they'll think I'm loopy lol

Ringo hates my husband! When my husband walks in the room Ringo puffs up and hisses or hides. Right now the dog crates are in the same room and (thank god) my dogs werent in the crates because Ringo was exploring the room and frount that the crate was a awesome place to hide.

It's funny cos everytime I see Neelix hiding, I turn around & see the guilty look on my boyfriend's face..."you looked at him, didn't you?"

I used to have my Jackson's on my lanai and we never used it...except for our one superbowl party, where almost every single cham did the puff-and-stare until we moved the party inside. it was amusing to see 5 or so Jackson's puffing all at the same three people!

One of my guys would only get upset at my guinea pigs. The little long haired fur balls made him really, really upset. He didn'f care about people or other animals, just the guinea pigs. Thinking back, he seemed to like lady humans better than man humans though.

I'm sure he'll get used to you. The friendliest chameleon I had (the same guy as above) disliked me and all humans until he was about 10 months old. I never handled him or anything and one day he hopped right on my hand and decided I wasnt so bad.
