Maybe someone with experience can chime in but I read on the dart frog forum that they make their own vines. Not sure if they are cham safe but they suggest taking woven rope and dipping it in brown silicone. They they rolled it in coco shavings and let it dry in the desired shape. I too need to get a bunch of vines and would be interested to see what others have to say about this method. It is used in making life-like roots in dendro vivariums.

To answer this, yes they are safe! Just let them dry for a few days to release any acetic acid and make sure there are no loose long fibres.

So yes, I guess these techniques will work in a cham's cage.
Why not use natural vines like Ivy or grape?

I've read that ivy isn't the safest plant to have in chameleons enclosures in case feeders chow down on it. Do you mean using just the dead vine or the full plant, because I have ivy everywhere!Why not use natural vines like Ivy or grape?
