My baby vieled who I have had for a week or two now, Was eating the crickets.
Now... He wont eat. He has had crickets crawl next to him, And I sprayed a cricket with water, it ran by my cham and he turned brown! This has happened twice, and he seems to have to eaten in 3 days. I put two to three crickets in at a time.. He shouldnt be over whealmed.

Babies can go on hunger strikes, esp if they are about to shed. You might need to mist more to raise the humidity or something but...

HE IS A BABY AND HE SHOULD GO TO SLEEP WHEN IT GETS DARK.

My opinions are in caps. He looked fine at much as I could tell in the video, but it was hard to get a good look. Maybe a few more pictures and a bit of work on you husbandry.

So you have now a compact UVB light, and you don't know what your temps are either?
Yes, Sadly. I am going to return (if that cranky pet store will let me) it on sunday. And I guess I should turn his thermometer on.. I will go get it.

Ah.. Ok. I just wanted to make sure he got enough light. I will put him to sleep at 9 from now on. Thanks. I will take a few pictures on my iphone, since I have no other camera. He is sleeping right now though. I will just take a quick picture.

my cham went on a hunger strike for no reason apparent to me..he just flat out refused anything i tried to give him, this went on for a few wks he would sneak one cricx or two but that was it,his usual voracious appetite went on the fritz...he was quite skinny but the other day i shoved a bunch of crix in his home and when i looked again i was shocked to see that they were all gone!! he seems to have figured it out,im hungry must eat lol... think he was mad and protesting cause i wouldnt let him do his masturbating on my wrist!! uck:eek: he is over it now thank God:D

As long as he's warm enough he should be eating something every day, unless he does shed in the next couple of days. He does seem a bit thin, so I would try some other insects. Small mealworms or waxworms should get him excited about food again. They love moths and other flying insects. Waxworms turn into moths, mealworms into beetles which my chameleons have never seemed to like.

After the first week and a half of eating my Cham refused to eat for a few days then immediately began shedding. It's possible he is getting ready for a nice shed so I would make sure he is hydrated so the shedding process is easier and of course to nourish him.

Alright, Thanks. I will ride my bike to the store for some mealworms, maybe he will like those. :)

Do shedding chams get close to the light more often? My cham basks usually but now he is right under the light, belly up. Hes pacing back and forth.. Is he ok?
