Hello my name is Jacob and I seem to be having some problems with my chameleon. I think she may be carrying eggs but I am unsure and need some help.
-I have had the chameleon for about 4 months now and the lady who sold it to me said she thought it was about 4 months old when I bought it.
-We believe it is a female
-I have been feeding her everyday with calcium covered crickets and multivitamin/d3 twice a month.
-Temps alway hover around 80-90
-Humidity is always above 50 (the apartment is very humid in general)
-she has a dripper and I spray her 2-3 times a day
-I keep and umbrella plant in the cage with her and lots of sticks and vines for her to climb on
-rocks cover the soil so she doesn't eat it
-I really think I have taken all of the necessary measure to keep her happy
Though recently she started showing dark black spots speckled throughout but sometimes she is bright green with yellow patterns. She also started to pace around her cage a lot. So naturally I thought she was getting ready to lay. I bought a Tupperware container that is 13" x 12" x 16" and filled it with damp play sand. Wet enough to form a tunnel but not cave in. I also pined a white sheet around the cage so she wouldn't get startled.
I am concerned though because it's been about a week and a half and she hasn't taken to digging any holes. I can here her climbing around in there and it also seems like she keeps trying to claw at the screen to get out, especially on the very top of the cage. Any help would really be fantastic.
