Vid of my green tree monitor

Thanks! I love this species and they are my all time favorite reptile. They don't just look cool but have awesome personalities:) I actually have a pair and hope when they are adults they will breed. How cool would that be?!

Ooooohhh....green and blue tree monitors have been my favorite for quite some time. What an awesome little guy you have there! When you do have babies, I would like one of them!! <drool....drool...drool>

Where in CO are you located?? I am originally from just north of Denver and the fam still lives there....the next time I go back to visit, I would like to come over and check out all your wonderful reptiles. (yes...I was just rude and invited myself...)

Chams1 I live in colorado springs. You can come over if you like, everyone else does, lol! My tree monitors are very outgoing and nice and love to crawl around all over people. The other day the little guy in the video crawled down my shirt and was trying to get in my belly button! They are very curious lizards! They will also eat from your hand and sit on your arm or shoulder while they eat.

My friend has a black rough neck, they are pretty. Do you like Dumeril's monitors? They are very similar to black rough necks. I like those too, they look like cobras when they are babies. My dream is to have a pair of blue trees and a pair of yellow trees(part of the v.prasinus complex). Then my life will be complete, lol!

Oh, that's not too far at all! My mother lives in Loveland and my Dad a little bit north just over the border in Wyoming. I will certainly have to let you know next time I am back home! I love to see other people's collections and yours seems right up my alley!

I love monitors and have been salivating over the tree monitors for quite some time now. One of these days.... for now I have a (very) large argus monitor who is a little over a year old - I got him when he was just 6 weeks old and now he is about 32 inches long - who takes up a wall-sized enclosure. For now, that will have to suffice since our chams and geckos take up all the room.

Sounds cool I love to have people come over to play with the reptiles:) I also have 8 crested geckos, 3 giant day geckos,1 golden gecko,3 veiled chams,3 oustalet's chams 3 white lined geckos, 4 cuban knight anoles, 1 baby savannah monitor, 2 friendly tokay geckos, 1 blue tongue skink, 1 leucistic texas rat snake,1 corn snake, 1 gray tree frog, 2 axolotls, 4 tiger salamanders,1 chinese fire belly newt and 1 painted turtle. Oh and I've got eggs from a few of these species and baby cresteds and baby veileds I hatched out. The reason I have so many things is 1, I'm addicted but 2, I work for a reptile rescue and I'm a foster mom/rehabber for them.

OH MY!!!!:p Great video. LOL!!! He seems like a little goof troop:D I wish the Savannah monitor at my house wasnt such a  He was rescued by my room mate and was in pretty poor shape. Call me demented but I find it fascinating how it will take a mouse down. Grabs and sorta flips his head up and down the hatch it goes.

Yeah I got a lot of critters! I hope I can give some of the recovered animals back to the rescue soon because they are eating me out of house and home!

Thanks! He is something else all right!

Yeah savs have a voracious appetite! When I used to have pair years ago they were pretty brutal eaters too. Blood would get smeared every where and once one of them grabbed the mouse and shook it, took it over to the water dish and dunked it a few times, took it back out and banged it a few more times, then ate it! I cringed but my husband thought it was crazily fascinating:) The baby sav I have now is like the one your roomate has. He gulps food down right away like he can't eat them fast enough!
