So I do have the link to the list of vets from here on the boards but I would like to see if anyone from my area Which is north NJ / Westchester NY that has actual experience with bring their chameleon to a certain vet they were happy with. I have been to one that was recommended to me but I was not very happy with them in the past so I would like to go to a new Vet if possible. Thanks for the help.

Not many vets are use to seeing chameleons, at least not on a regular basis. For one thing there's only 7 reptile certified vets in the world and most are not in the US. Also the one that we are fortunate enough to live close to (four hour drive) only sees 20% reptiles and very few are chameleons.
It's very sad that more keepers don't take their chameleons to the vets so more vets could get experience. So if you can find a vet that sees reptiles and has some chameleon experience then you are very lucky. If you find a vet that says they have allot of chameleon experience then they are probably not telling the truth and just want your money. There's another really good vet two hours from me that use to keep chameleons so he has experience even though he doesn't have a reptile degree. Keep looking and hopefully you will find someone you like.Similar threads
