How do you guys transport your chameleon to the vet especially now with the cold weather?

I have a medium critter tote inside of a styrofoam cooler, with a pair of hot packs between the tote and the styrofoam. I also don't drive, so unless I can hitch a ride I end up busing and spending a lot of time outside in the Canadian weather!

Generally, a shoebox or similar with a secure branch is totally fine.
