current problem - for the past 4 day my veiled chameleon has been very sluggish and eyes have been closed, he has not eaten for a few days and i took him to the vet last night but all the vet said was that he might need some more calcium, also he has been darker than usual when in his cage too, i have some recent photos in another post called i think i need help too if that helps, any ideas?

Hi there. It would be better if you gave him plain calcium most feeding as well as calcium with d3 every two weeks you will also need one with multivits every two weeks. Is he drinking? What colour is the urates which is the light bit of his poo. Why the blue light? I would switch that to a normal household bulb which would represent the sun. Do you see him drink. If you think your vet wasnt very helpful could you find another vet? I will try to look at your pics but at work and on phone. Hope this is helpful.:)

Can you post a picture please or a link to the post with them in?

I gutload with aside assortment of greens ( dandelion greens, collards, endive, escarole, mustard greens, kale, etc ) and veggies ( carrots, squash, zucchini, sweet red pepper, sweet potato, etc ).

As was already suggested your supplementing needs to change.

by the time i realized that i need to be supplementing more my cham had already stopped eating and the vet wasnt helpful at all, i saw him last night and earlier this morning my cham had passed, and the vet said he looked fine...

So sorry for your loss. If you decide to keep another I would advise you to do as much research as you can on here. You can still post any questions you think of. Also be on the lookout for a reptile vet.
