Very Lethargic/possibly gravid Melleri

UPDATE:

So after 2 Xrays, she is not carrying eggs. We are going to check the laying bin very carefully to make sure she didnt sneak some in. She is still spending quite a bit of time on the bottom of her enclosure right now, but she climbs up occassionally. She drank again today. So the hydration issue is clearing up now. The fecal results should be back monday afternoon. We talked to Dr Alfonso's office and may not be heading down there Monday. We still have the appt, but will call them first thing Monday morning to let them know. We feel that her enclosure may be either layed out wrong or maybe to small for her. Ill take a couple pics soon and post them for a critique.

Here are Joy's Xrays (2 of them), which I believe it pretty conclusive that she is not gravid. Also, the past two nights, she has spent the night on the bottom/floor of her enclosure. Shes active, eats, and drinks during the day. I think during the day I will try to back the temp down at the top of her enclosure some, and get it to the mid/upper 80s. Her basking perch is still at 90-91F. I think I'm going to step the bulb down from a 75w to a 60 or 50.

Looks like she has good bones!
Interesting to see the xray of a Mellers...I'll have to study it a little more later!

Here is a pic of her most recent poop (about 10 mins ago) Again shes been drinking like a champ the past two days. Yesterday only ate 2 feeders (1 cricket, 1 super) this afternoon shes had 4 (3 crickets, 1 super).

The appointment is getting rescheduled as we await the results of her fecal test from our local vet. We want to take the results and xrays down to him prior to her check up.

From the looks of the feces, she is still dehydrated. You can tell by the orange urates. You can also tell that she's been off feed for a while too.

It's good that she's starting to eat and drink more. Also, and this is just my personal opinion, I would stay away from the super worms for now. Give her some softer foods that are easier to digest. Silk worms are a great soft bodied alternative and will certainly help to give her some the much needed energy to recoup.

It's good you're still going to see Ivan. Sounds like she has some fight left in her and has a chance for a good recovery.

Good luck and keep us posted.

So Joys fecal test came back this morning. She has round worm (ascardis). Our vet who is also a good friend of ours (though not very familiar with exotics) has the proper meds for her. After doing some deworming searching here on the msg board, I see that the dosage needs to be very exact for chams, will it be ok to have our vet treat her or should we seek a vet with cham experience for deworming? Thanks to everyone again for your input and advice.

Well at the moment I don't know when I can get to Orlando. There is a vet in Jacksonville that has Cham experience and some members use. But is it something simple enough for our vet to do.

Our vet is planning on using febendazole. She'll get weighed this afternoon and then get her first dose of it. We also purchased some flukers reptaide, should/can we use this while shes getting medicated? Thanks again everyone!
