Veils breeding again after 1 week

I have bred veils years ago and just recently got back into them. But this time a little confused. I bred them a week ago and everything went as shceduled. The female was receptive and copulation took place several times. The next day she showed the classic dark coloration with yellow and orange like spots or markings. Now a week later she was showing her passive colours again, but this time the blue spotting showed up as well. So with caution I put the male back in with her. Mating and copulation took place again. That is the part that baffles me, why did they breed again when she showed her gravid colours They are both 7-8 months old.

Many people are going to tell you that you shouldnt have bred the female as she is too young. The female hasnt finished growing herself let alown producing eggs!

You should really remove them from the same cage after copulation.
