Veileds laying eggs

I had 2 females lay eggs from one male but they were duds.I tried to introduce the male back in after 4 weeks but the females wanted nothing to do with him. is this common and/or do i have to wait for another breeding season(next year) to mate them up again.

If it were me, I would wait way longer than 4 weeks to allow them to mate again but my chameleons are my pets and I'm into keeping them healthy, cutting back on egg production and giving them a longer life.

Laying eggs puts alot of strain on a females body even infertile ones you need to wait alot longer than a month to try again in my opinion. I think if conditions are good they'll breed any time of the year so you can try later on when they've recovered. I assume it's similair with veileds but panthers can become receptive again as soon as 6 weeks after laying a clutch but It would be unfair to breed them again so soon in my opinion.
