Veiled sharpening her claws

My free range Chameleon (around 1year) has just laid eggs. She has been very active lately and I assume the eggs are the reason. She has had crickets and berries and seem to be completely back to her normal self except that she has begun scratching on her branches? It looks like she is sharpening her claws to maintain the length, but I haven't seen her do it before. Have anyone else had their chameleon do this? She has lots of different branches/plants and a tree to climb on, she seems to be doing it with both her front and back feet. I'm not worried for her, just curious to see if anyone has experienced the same, it looks quite funny and she's making a ton of noise climbing about scratching things.

what a beauty she is! I don't know for sure but my guess would be that her mama bear instincts are kicking in and that she is maybe trying to sharpen her nails to protect her babies? she could also just be restless or something. I know I'm not supposed to guess on this website but this is the best I've got. hope this helps!

Maybe she try to climb more and she is at a dead end of the branch,as long she doesn't break a nail, there shouldn't be anything to worry about ur cham.

Good guess but once chams lay their eggs the babies are on their own. No mama bear from them.
How do her feet look, maybe they itch

She's not shedding at all atm, and she's never done it when she was actually shedding previously. She kind of drags her little feet and claws down the branch and let's go continuously. She seems to have calmed down a bit when she was getting closer to bed time :)
