Veiled ready to lay eggs?

Hi,

Camilla is around 5 months old and the past couple of days she hasn't been her normal self. She is a happy, social cham and is normally a bright green colour. The past couple of days she has been a dark green/black and starting to be aggressive when you go near her. This morning I went to feed her and she puffed up and hissed at me. She eats around 20 crickets a day, 10 in the morning and 10 at night. I just fed her within the past 30 minutes and she only ate 7/10 crickets.

I noticed a small bump over her leg which i haven't noticed before. I placed a bin of plantation soil in her cage and she is slowly moving down to look at it. I will attach pictures of the bump and of her. She is really puffed up, and she pooped within the first hour of being awake. Any help is appreciated. I was hoping to go to a reptile expo today but now I'm scared to leave her.

That is a lot of food for a female and at that age of a cham. I give my girl a couple medium feeders a day and sometimes Ill skip a day, this slows down egg production too.
it sounds like she could be ready to lay. What are your bin dimensions? 5 gal bucket with playsand works fine for me and easily comes off after misting when they're done digging. She will need complete privacy as well.

She is a pig. She would eat all day if we would let her! She also eats a lot of fruits too...she loves them!

Oh yes mine would eat all day long too but at that age they really don't news that much food, itll save you some money too ha and its good she eats fruits too my Camille just stares at them lol. Good luck though! My girl just laid he other day.. my first experience and all went smoothly.

Lol took her a while to eat fruits but now she won't stop. Will definitely start cutting back on the crickets though! Camilla has had problems with prolapsing so I'm scared it might happen again if she lays eggs. I just went out and bought a 6 Gallon bin. How much sand did you use? I have plantation soil.

Woke up to the goof ball sleeping like this this morning. She pooped twice yesterday and is still looking pretty big. Any ideas?
