Veiled Genetics/Coloring

OK-the babies are just over a month old now, or at least half of them. I notice that the older ones are getting this really neat dorsal/spinal ridge stripe that is the pinkest orangest color. It is hard to get a good pic since they of course get less bright when they see the camera coming. Now I start pulling out babies, and every one with this neat coloring is female. I notice a pinkish color in alot of baby Veileds, but this is real orange-ish.

Has anyone else seen this and what happens as they get older?

One of my females looked exactly like that when she was a baby. I will take a picture of her tomorrow and show you. She is now 7-8 months old.
