if it is a young or baby veild people do keep them in terrariumns successfully.
Not aquariums with screen lids, but terrariums that have the bottom ventilation. Most of us use the screen cages, which I prefer also. People who live in the colder climates like glass to help with the humidity.

If you want to go on the safe side, a screen terrarium with plastic-wrap along some of the walls (2-3) is what I use for my veiled. It works well 
If you want a glass terrarium (I use one for my ellioti) then it will need the top screen and bottom ventilation as well. There's even some glass ones with screen doors which would work amazingly.
It's really up to you, but those two are good ways that I use to keep humidity up in dry enclosures

Hello, welcome to the forum I kept my own Veileds in a wooden vivarium with sliding glass panels while they were young. It is my personal choice to give my lizards as much room as I can possibly afford. A 2 meter tall glass tank would be a bit heavy and expensive.....
Lots of methods can work..... if you get temperature gradients and humidy and ventilation right......for a beginner I highly recommend the screen cages.
