Veiled Chams. Average life span?

I would like to know what the average life span of a captive bred Veiled Chameleon is. I found one on Craigslist, but the guy said he bought it full grown about 1.5 years ago, so I am guessing he is probably 3 years old. My Cham collection is getting ridiculous. I'm an addict.

Ive heard many claim 5yrs for a male but some here have had males 8 yrs! Im hoping mine makes towards 8.

Male 5 to 7 years
Female 3 to 6 (depending on if she lays eggs) which shortens her life
