Veiled Chameleon

Hello! I think my vielded chameleon may have gular edema around her neck. She has been very healthy with a great appetite which may be part of the problem. She also could be fat. She just turned 2 years old. She lives in a 4 X 4 X 2 repti breeze cage. She has a misting system that mists her hourly during day light hours. I have a reptisun 5.0 light and a basking lamp also that come on at 7am and go off at 6pm. The reptisun is changed yearly. I dust every day alternating with regular calcium and calcium with D3. Once a week I dust with a multi vitamin. She eats 20-25 crickets daily. She has laid 2 clutches of eggs with 100% survival rate and the egg quality is great. I did however notice a small bony lump on one of her back legs that has me concerned with MBD, however, I'm not sure what more I can do other than direct sunlight which is very difficult for me to do. Hope I'm not causing more harm than good. Love my guys! The other 3 are doing great.

Sorry to hear about your girl. I keep veileds and they are awesome chameleons showing so much personality. Please post a picture of your girl. Females can show some swelling in the neck due to egg laying.

You are feeding her way to much IMHO and dusting with d3 to often. D3 should not be used more than twice a month. Also she needs a variety of food and not just crickets.

the answer is yes, because I do not put them outside at all I was told I should be dusting with D# every other day. I will post a pic when I get home. I have tried to feed her a variety of food however the only thin any of mine will eat is crickets. I have offered horn worms, silk worms, wax worms, super worms, and roaches, they show little to no interest.
